Sage Types

... struggle with a low androgen pattern. This means they have low androgens such as testosterone or DHEAS. Low testosterone is often worsened by nutrient deficiencies, stress, lack of sleep, lack of exercise, birth control, high estrogen, and toxin exposure. Low DHEA is often worsened by chronic stress.

Often, Sage types have been on some form of hormonal birth control in the past, which may have increased their sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). SHBG binds free testosterone and can exacerbate symptoms of low testosterone. Or, they may have a dysfunctional hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian-adrenal axis, impairing testosterone production.

As a Sage type, you may deal with low libido, dry/flaky skin, exhaustion and poor concentration.  It likely feels difficult to accomplish daily goals and tasks as you have low motivation and drive. You find sex can be painful due to vaginal dryness and struggle building muscle despite adequate training.

Androgens support sexual desire, arousal, immunity, mood and an overall sense of well-being. With low androgens, Sage types often feel the lack in these areas immensely and it can greatly impact their quality of life.
