Hello there, I’m Dr. Leah Gordon, I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor and hormone and fertility wellness consultant and I’m so passionate about helping women like you reclaim their hormone health and have a chance at becoming a mother soon or someday.

 

 

 

Before starting Womanhood Wellness, I started, ran, and saw hundreds of patients in my private practice in San Diego. Throughout this time, I created my own approach to supporting women and couples along their hormone and fertility journeys, and I continue to tweak and improve that process.

Based on everything I have learned, seen, and tried with patients and myself along my own healing journey, I have come to understand an optimal way of doing things.

Working with us looks a little different than working with any other doctor or wellness coach, and I believe that is what has made all the difference in my practice and my patient's and client’s lives!

 

 

At Womanhood Wellness, we are committed to helping you succeed in your hormone, fertility, and womanhood desires.

Because of that commitment, we only take on a few clients at a time. This allows us to have the bandwidth to give what is required to truly support you.

The first step after applying is the Womanhood Wellness Root-Cause Analysis.

This is a holistic deep dive into you as a woman (or as a couple), where we review an extensive intake form, any past labs you have done, and we ask questions you have probably never been asked by a doctor before.

How you were born, childhood traumas, your history of food poisoning, your daily lifestyle routines, dietary practices, sleep habits, past lab reports and medical procedures, your dental health, mindset, and so much more!

It’s all important when it comes to uncovering the root-cause of your issues and creating our analysis of next steps, whether those steps are with us or with another doctor or practitioner. 

After the Root-Cause Analysis consultation, you will receive a comprehensive summary of our thoughts on your case, including what the next steps as for you.

This may include additional labs or tests you may need, as well as a comprehensive and unique wellness roadmap designed specifically for you.

You can then decide to take that information along your journey, or continue down your wellness path with us in a multi-session team-based approach.

If you decide to continue working with us, depending on what state you live in, we either order, or help you order, the necessary labs needed for the next few steps.

When those are complete, we meet for a follow up to review and complete your root-cause analysis.

After this consultation, more targeted recommendations in the form of natural medicine, supplements, specific dietary support, more specific lifestyle or mindset work, or whatever else we feel is appropriate and needed will be recommended for you to continue to make steps toward your goal.

We will then continue to meet as often as it feels good, depending on the session number in your unique bundle, to help you uncover, heal, or optimize your hormone and fertility health.

 You will be prompted to schedule a call at your preferred time, then you will fill out an application form, and finally make payment.
 

We will review your application and respond within 72 hours. If you are accepted, you will meet with Dr. Leah at your chosen time. If we feel someone else would be a better fit, we will refund you your money and let you know. 

 

If you miss your  appointment, this fee is not refunded, nor is it able to be applied to rescheduled appointments.

 

We do not accept insurance as it would limit the time we spend with you and how we choose to support our clients.

I started seeing Dr. Leah in January of 2019, after having a miscarriage. I knew if I wanted to get pregnant again I had to make life changes. I'm so glad I did, Dr. Leah prepared my body for fertility and taught me so many things no OBGYN would ever do. I didn't realize how so many things effect fertility and now I'm happy to say I'm pregnant and hearing that little heartbeat is the best feeling and experience ever. I wish all women trying to conceive would go see Dr. Leah, it think it's so important we get our body's prepped for pregnancy, so we don't have to go through horrible experiences like miscarriages.

Dr. Gordon is such an amazing doctor! She has helped me through a variety of issues and we are still currently working on areas to improve. She never forces you to take any route like some conventional doctors do, but rather lays out the information for you and assists you with looking at your options. Her priority is your well-being and works so well at helping you achieve that. I found Dr. Gordon at a time in my life where I was struggling immensely with my health and emotional well being. I went to a million "western" doctors who made me feel like just a number and gave me 5 minutes of their time suggesting to just take prescription pills and rest. They told me my hair loss, extreme fatigue and acne was normal (at 26 years old) and just dismissed me as a solved case. I felt extremely alone and not heard. I actually had to quit my job because I couldn't find the energy to even get through a normal day. Finding Dr. Gordon literally shifted my entire life and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be where I am today. I felt heard and understood by a doctor FINALLY in my life. Dr. Gordon has been the best doctor I've ever received care from! As a naturopathic doctor, her holistic approach is the reason why I was able to heal my body from an infection that ravaged for 2 years before seeking her treatment. Many MD's and DO's were unable to diagnose but with Dr. Gordon, we've been able to uncover the root issue and heal fully.

During my mid-40's I started to experience peri menopausal symptoms. My symptoms became progressively worse until I found myself with little energy or enjoyment for life. I knew that I did not want to take hormones which is why I reached out to Dr.Gordon for a more holistic approach.

I met Dr. Gordon through a mutual friend, and I and went to see her as a patient in hopes to find a solution to my general lack of energy, among other things.  

She is incredibly personable and easy to talk to. On our first appointment, she took a lot of time just asking about all aspects of me as a person, not just my symptoms and medical history. When reviewing my blood work and lab results, she is thorough in explaining the significance of the findings with respect to me as an individual, rather than just looking for anything outside of the "normal range."

From these results, along with my personal and family history, and ultimate health goals, she spent time to create a truly individualized treatment program including tinctures, natural supplements, diet and lifestyle modifications that I can realistically follow. Plus, it is so easy to communicate with her through the secure patient portal, where I can ask questions and get support along the way.

So grateful to have found her. I first came to Dr. Leah Gordon for a plethora of reasons after moving back to the US from Mexico and she helped tackle my digestion issues. Although it was expensive she helped me through every step running tests that were only necessary and being conscious of my time and money. The best part were the appointments. I actually felt heard! In today's western medicine appointments you feel rushed and like a number, with Dr. Gordon I felt I mattered. Then at one point in treatment she suggested there may be mold...to be honest I didn't believe her. How could there be mold? My apartment and home were clean and new. Well I was embarrassed to say several months later after disbelief I found extensive mold in my apartment. Her experience and clinical eye were impressive! She and her staff were supportive through every step of this detox process. Highly recommend her!

This is a long overdue review for Dr. Leah Gordon.  I first came to The Tribe in January of this year on the wave of the New Year and wanting to make some changes.  Not only did my physical health not feel optimal, but my emotional health felt way off as well.  I could not help but consider that there must be some connection.   As I am in my early forties, thoughts of hormonal changes, as well as all of the other changes that come with age are edging closer to the forefront of my mind.  All this being said, I came to Dr. Gordon in a puddle of tears... feeling a bit overweight, overwhelmed, brain foggy, irritable as hell, low on energy, very emotional and all around not very empowered.  After a few months my weight was down, emotions under a reasonable amount of control, feeling my old vigor and most importantly feeling cared for, heard and empowered to take care of my health and my life.  I was exercising again, eating for my constitution, taking appropriate supplements and being proactive in creating good boundaries in my personal life.  Saying she is thorough is a gross understatement - from testing to the questions asked. It was truly amazing to witness the way Dr. Gordon would synthesize what she would take from our conversations.  She would ask me questions about my life, listen with interest and offer thoughtful suggestions - some medical and others lifestyle .... And more!  We worked slowly with much attention.

Dr. Gordon is a true doctor. Her treatments are sound and realistic. She is very easy to talk to and most importantly she LISTENS to her patients. She dedicates the time needed to tailor a treatment program that works for each individual ( no cookie cutter work). It's evident that she truly cares about her patients. Scheduling appointments is easy both in person and via video chat (for follow-up visits). After many years of having my symptoms overlooked by different primary care docs, I finally found Dr Gordon who not only paid attention to details but also investigated each symptom leading to the identification of the true source of conditions that I struggled with for many years. Dr. Gordon is wonderful; she listens without judgement creating a safe place to discuss sensitive health subjects. She has helped me determine my food sensitivities so I could make dietary changes. I cannot recommend Dr. Gordon enough. If you are looking for a professional, compassionate Naturopath, she is the one to see! When I first consulted her, I had been struggling with migraines for over a decade. I have tried pretty much anything traditional medicine has to offer to control my headaches. But since the approach has always been to treat the symptom rather than to understand the underlying cause, nothing has been successful so far. Dr. Gordon took the time to examine my entire health history, including my nutrition, lifestyle, habits, environment, etc. to figure out what might actually be causing the headaches. Dr. Gordon's holistic approach is the first one to make a difference and I feel very optimistic about being in charge of my own health.
